Competencies and profiles

During our international conference we agreed on working together about competencies and profiles for it professional in local government. We talked with Erik De Vries and Merijn Van de Laag on how a project could start with the University of Amsterdam involved.
We agreed on doing basic research on whatever has been done on this topic in different countries (UK, Belgium, Netherlands, …)
Via Liaison Agency Flanders- Europe we could search for possible EU funds to start up this project. They can give support on:
- Search for existing formal or informal European networks
- Search for European funding
- Go between in the relationship between other regions with experience and your network
- To deliver update information concerning e-skills and e-competences in the European Union (communications, action programs, conferences,…)
- Possibility to organize a conference in Brussels, comparable with the conference in Greece (see below)
- To search for possibilities to involve third countries (although these third countries cannot be a priority to the Liaison Agency)
